KCSI combines technical excellence and business consulting experience to create technology solutions that achieve challenging business goals. Our clients benefit from our ability to bridge the gap between business vision and real-world technology implementation.

Contact our business development team to learn more about our results-driven custom technology solutions.

Our custom application solution expertise spans the following areas:

  • Database Design & Development – Our database design and development team has broad and deep experience with all of the major database technologies: MySQL, SQL Server, Analysis Server, LINQ and ORM. In addition, our team is well-versed in OLAP and cloud storage solutions.
  • Microsoft .Net Development – The Microsoft .NET Platform is the software development framework for Microsoft Windows operating systems, that allows for custom application development for many business functions or proprietary software.
  • Mobile Application Development – Due to a convergence of factors including a multitude of hardware devices, reduction in price and performance improvements, mobile devices are now a viable application platform. We have extensive experience with application development across a wide variety of mobile platforms and in developing Enterprise Mobile Applications for clients. We have developed applications for mobile devices, including the iPhone™, iPad™, BlackBerry®, and Windows Mobile®.
  • Rich Internet Application (RIA) Development – Presenting a rich user experience on the web is virtually a must-have for companies wanting to distinguish themselves from the competition. Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) are Web apps that embody most of the characteristics of a desktop application. This means RIAs have a rich user interface and user experience – the consistency of each being controlled across operating systems. RIAs can be complex and difficult to design, develop and deploy and requires a deep understanding of the technology and the Rich Internet application framework being used.
  • Systems Integration & Custom Software Extensions – In our 18 years of experience, we have found that integrating technology systems can be one of the most frustrating technical hurdles facing many organizations. Voids existing between sophisticated applications can mean tremendous productivity loss as well as untold opportunity costs. It is also one of the hardest things to fix – causing many organizations to limp along with systems that don’t talk to each other.

KCSI has years of experience integrating not only our client’s systems, but our own systems as well. Contact our business development team today to learn how we can integrate your organization’s systems for an immediate ROI.

SIMMS has added the ability to associate network paths, network files, and web addresses to items. Simply click a link, a path or a document, and the referenced item automatically opens. In addition, SIMMS’s Kit Schema window and transaction windows feature this same instant advantage as you monitor your sales and item management responsibilities.

An additional feature now in SIMMS is if you perform an enhanced search from the Item Manager window, and if the item you are searching for is a Miscellaneous Item, then when you retrieve the item, the “Type” field in the Item Manager automatically defaults to the correct type for the item retrieved (Miscellaneous Item). Also, if the item is a stock item, a stock item is automatically selected in the Item Manager.

Kitting Improvements in SIMMS 2013

simms_KitBuild

In SIMMS 2013’s Kitting Module, we have enhanced and simplified the grid columns for components/stock. Now, all quantities are “translated” in the unit of measure chosen for each component. Also, for stock records, all quantities use the same unit of measure.

After you allocate quantities manually based on the stock record or use automatic allocation the system moves the quantities to an on-hold status and captures the costs.

For components using serial numbers, once you scan a serial and adds it to the kit the selected serial number is not longer available and the stock is placed on hold for the serialized item.

If there is a non-stock item (such as a miscellaneous item or charge) in the kit schema the system uses the standard cost from the Item Manager and automatically allocates the non-stock item when you start the kit build when you click the “Proceed” button.

If the user adds a non stock item during the kit build process the system automatically allocate and use the standard cost from the Item Manager.

If you delete a component, which comes from default schema, you can now add it back.

Improvements in SIMMS 2013

simms_SIMMSbox

SIMMS 2013 Inventory Management Software turns your computer into an advanced inventory management and accounting software tool, giving you the ability to setup inventory items, transfer your inventory from location to location, complete sales and purchasing transactions, track serial numbers with manufacturer lot control, expiration date management, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Order Fulfillment and Replenishment, Order Picking, Remote Data collection, Barcode printing and more.

We have added the ability to associate network paths, network files, and web addresses to items. By clicking the link, path or document it automatically opens the referenced item. This function also exists in the kit schema screen as well as in transaction windows.

We feel that your first experience with the new look and feel should be in a training scenario, which will allow you the time to get comfortable with any changes to SIMMS usage and function that may have changed.

Therefore, we have put together affordable 2-, 4- and 8-hour online training courses designed to bring you up to speed with key enhancements made in order to assure your SIMMS 2013 experience is both enjoyable and thorough.
